Retail Sales Representative (TRT) KZN-Mainline

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual for an internal opportunity for the role of Retail Sales Representative (TRT). This role is important to our continued success and growth in the pharmacy and possible optometry businesses. As a Retail Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales, developing strong client connections, and contributing to the expansion of our Gen-Eye product line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Region: KwaZulu Natal Mainline (areas may change as required by company needs).
  • Sales Coverage: Conduct country trips as per agreed agreed area to ensure coverage and frequency are reached on all identified targeted customers which includes Corporate and Independent Pharmacies -additional HCP’s can be included based on strategic business positioning and focus)
  • Country Trip: Every 6-8 weeks (minimum 2-3 nights per cycle)
  • Portfolio Promotion: Promote all Gen-Eye portfolios, including current and future products.
  • Customer Engagement: Call on all pharmacies to achieve growth and meet budget targets.
  • Switch Strategy Implementation: Implement and execute a switch strategy
  • Customer Identification : Customers include Responsible pharmacist, Buyer, Stock Controller, Pharmacists, Pharmacist Assistants, Clinic Nurses and front shop staff
  • Training : Conduct training and tearoom sessions on products in pharmacies.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Provide regular feedback on products and communicate in-field intelligence to the line manager.
  • GAPP-I System: Implement and ensure continuous growth and stock on shelves at independent pharmacies.
  • CRM and Data Analysis: Utilize CRM systems as instructed and conduct TROP-list and Impact Rx analysis based on data received.
  • SAPGB Reporting: Complete SAPGB reports as instructed by marketing and sales teams every quarter, providing feedback to management.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company SOPs, Code of Conduct, and all relevant policies. Other duties may include working with doctors, or the state sector as required.

Qualification requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Medical Terminology: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, enabling high-level communication with healthcare professionals (Pharmacists, Pharmacist Assistants, Nurses, Optometrists, etc.).
  • Pharmacy and Optometry Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmacy and optometry sectors, processes, and customers is essential.
  • Private Sector Dynamics: Understanding the dynamics of the private sector and the ability to build strong relationships within it.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous knowledge of the industry and existing relationships will be advantageous.
